Questions? We’ve got answers.
Check out the Raw Garden FAQ below.
Where are Raw Garden flowers grown?
In Santa Barbara County, a fertile agricultural area known for wine and organic produce like squash, tomatoes, and leafy greens.
Do you use artificial flavors?
We never use artificial flavors, additives, or cutting agents. We only use strain and batch-specific cannabis terpenes in all our products.
Do you use trim?
No. Never. We compost our trim.
How are there so many different flavors?
We have an extensive seed library and an ongoing breeding program that helps fuel the variety of flavors and strains that are planted and harvested each year.
Why is there a variance in percentages on some of your labels?
The state requires ALL products are tested multiple times.
- Regulators require a label claim, which comes from the required R&D test.
- The required R&D test is added to the label and applied to the product before that product can be collected for final compliance testing.
- This is required and must take place before it can be sent out for distribution.
What does “Your Single Source™” mean?
From seed to sale, we breed, cultivate, harvest, extract, package, and deliver flavorful, and clean cannabis products to you.
What does Clean Green Certified™ mean?
All our products are Clean Green Certified™. The Clean Green Certified™ program ensures that all of the cannabis used by Raw Garden is farmed and processed based on national and international organic and sustainable best practices. To meet those standards, only organic and natural fertilizers, soil amendments, and pest control methods are used on the farm. There are no artificial ingredients, flavors, or thinners ever used in the processing.
Live Resin & Live Sauce
What is Live Resin Sauce?
Live Resin Sauce is made from fresh frozen plant material that was not dried and cured but rather frozen immediately after harvest. The starting plant material is a key indicator as to whether a Sauce is considered “live.” Consumers who value sauce for its high terpene content will find the distinction between Live Resin Sauce and Sauce made from dried and cured flower particularly useful. If the extraction technician is able to retain the full spectrum of compounds available in the fresh frozen plant material at the time that it was processed, Live Resin Sauce can be considered full spectrum, though the terms Live Resin and full spectrum are not synonymous.
What is Sauce?
A cannabis extract with a sticky, liquid consistency. Sauce extractions contain high levels of terpenes and are typically the most flavorful of extracts. Sauce is produced utilizing a closed loop system and allows the THCa to crystallize under various pressures and temperatures. This environment promotes the natural separation of the major cannabinoids from the terpene-rich portion.
What is your starting material for Sauces and Live Resin?
Single Source whole plant fresh frozen flowers from our farm.
Can you consume Live Sauce/Live Resin right out of cold storage?
No, exposing the Live Sauce/Live Resin to the atmosphere can cause condensation on the product which may make your dab sizzle in your nail. Bring to room temperature before opening for use.
How do you store Live Sauce/Live Resin?
Sauce and Live Resin is best stored in a fridge or a freezer with the lid sealed on tight. Let thaw for 5 minutes prior to opening for use.
Refined Live Resin™
What is Live Resin?
Live Resin is extracted from fresh cannabis plant material that was not dried or cured. This method is used to retain the terpenes that are lost during the drying and curing process. Products that have been extracted using the live resin process — freezing the cannabis plant material and extracting it — have been associated as high-quality, flavorful concentrates due to the high amounts of terpenes. (See full article here: https://weedmaps.com/learn/dictionary/live-resin/) Live Resin extracts are a crude, single-pass extraction utilizing nonpolar solvents like butane and propane at very low temperatures to isolate a mixture of cannabinoids, terpenes, fats, waxes, tannins, and other nonpolar plant molecules. The extract is then enriched by removing the solvent using distillation.
What is Refined Live Resin™?
We created a new cannabis product through an innovative process where we start with live resin, and then remove impurities like waxes, fats, and tannins, resulting in the aptly named Refined Live Resin™. All of our products come from single source fresh frozen flowers with no artificial ingredients or non-cannabis derived terpenes added.
What is in Raw Garden’s Refined Live Resin™️ Cartridges?
Our cartridges only contain single-source cannabinoids and cannabis derived terpenes, just like it says on the box. We post lab results for every batch we release to the market to ensure transparency and easy access for our customers. https://rawgarden.farm/lab-results
Why did we create Refined Live Resin™️?
Our Refined Live Resin process was created to remove impurities, bring out the best aromatic compounds, retain the flowers natural diversity of cannabinoids, create the longest shelf life possible, and ensure the cartridge works as intended. The impurities we remove would normally create a darker color in the oil, do not contribute to the aroma, decrease potency by acting as a filler, often clog the wick, and decrease the efficacy of the heating element.
What is distillate?
Distillate is a cannabis extract in which the final product has been systematically stripped of all materials and compounds except one specific cannabinoid. By definition, Raw Garden’s product is not distillate. If you review the test results of our Refined Live Resin™ you will see that there are a plethora of cannabinoids (THC, THC-V, CBD, CBG, CBN) in our products. Most distillate is made from dried remnant cannabis material, commonly referred to as trim.
What is the difference between a Refined Live Resin™ and distillate cartridge?
Refined Live Resin is made by removing the fats and waxes from our live resin. In the Raw Garden process, the cannabis terpenes are preserved and each batch uses only strain-specific cannabinoids. Distillate refers to oil made from trim or low-grade crude oil that often lacks any cannabis terpenes and important active compounds.
How should I care for my cartridges?
Always store upright
Storing your cartridge upright and with the rubber attachments can help prevent issues with clogging or leaking.
Store cartridge at room temperature
To avoid the oil getting too hot or cold keep it at room temperature away from direct light.
This will also avoid clogging.
Do not use excessively
- Do not heat up and inhale repeatedly. Allow for heating element to cool down.
Keep off of the battery when not in use
- Keeping your cartridge off of the battery can help preserve the life of your cartridge and does not allow for unintentional heating.
Avoid the use of Batteries with magnetic attachments
Please avoid using batteries that utilize magnetic attachments to connect to the cartridge when using Raw Garden™️ Refined Live Resin™️ cartridges. These attachments often weaken the atomizer (located at the bottom of the cartridge), which can make the atomizer detach, causing the cartridge to leak and eventually become defective.
Why is my vape cartridge air bubble big?
Our cartridges are meant to be filled up to 0.7g but we fill them up to 0.55g. Once the cartridge starts to sit from their manufacturing date the wick will absorb the oil, causing the air bubble to appear bigger. If you scroll back through our feed you will see that all of our vape cartridge photos have air bubbles. What are your battery instructions?
Our battery is CCell's M3 Battery, and you will only need to charge it for about an hour to an hour and a half. When your battery starts to blink ten times with the green light, that means it is time to charge. When it is ready, it will stay a steady green light. You can plug it into any USB port such as your computer, a wall outlet, and so forth. When you are ready to use, the bottom light will illuminate while the heater is activated, and you only need to inhale for 2-4 seconds at a time to produce a surprisingly large and super smooth draw. The battery will last you for many draws.
How do you use the variable voltage battery?
Our variable voltage battery will work with all Raw Garden 510 threaded cartridges. Press the button 5 times in quick succession to turn the battery on/off.Adjust the temperature three different ways to optimize your flavor experience:
- 2.9V = Blue LED
- 3.1V = Green LED
- 3.3V = Red LED
What is your preferred voltage for Raw Garden cartridges?
Between 2.9-3.3 volts is recommended for Citrus/Fruity flavors, OG strains still taste great at a higher voltage 3.3-3.7. Our Ready-to-Use and standard battery is at 3.7v.
